Let’s Compare Flooded Owensboro Riverfront Pics Taken 18 Years Apart

I have no way of knowing, but I have to wonder if my family has more old photos tucked away here and there than just about anybody.

And, good Lord, if I were to print all the pics I have on my phone, well, I don't want to think about it.

I did some digging last night and one of the pictures I found was of the Owensboro riverfront during the 1997 flood.

And now I've just seen a picture of the riverfront from a year ago when the water was right up to Smothers Park.

So let's take a look at the riverfront...18 years apart.

Looks a whole lot better now, doesn't it? Even WITH the water.
