Lexington-Based Company Will Sell Kentucky-Scented Candles
What does Kentucky smell like? Well, there's a small company in Lexington that has rounded up aromas that are unique to the Bluegrass State and has applied them to candles.
Kentucky for Kentucky and its commissioned candle-maker Kathy Werking will begin selling these candles online this Friday.
Patrons will be able to choose from Fried Chicken, Ale 8 One, Mint Julep, and Hot Brown. Oh wait, there's also a nod to a popular sandwich that's actually been discontinued at KFC--the Double Down.
So, I guess that would be a fried-chicken-and-bacon-scented candle.
I'm not exactly sure how candles with those scents will actually smell, but I do know that only a handful of people will ever know.
When the candles go on sale Friday, there will only be 25 available in each scent.
Supplies are indeed limited. But I can smell the profits.
