Happy birthday Little Richard. The Rock ‘n Roll great has reached 80. Not many rockers can say that. He is still going strong today. In 1959, Little Richard, at that time singing gospel music instead of rock, appeared in my home town, Lubbock, Texas, where he was interviewed on the air by KLLL’s Ray “Slim” Corbin.  I worked at KLLL in later years and managed to snag a copy of this audio. Slim has just told the singer thanks and goodbye when he thought of one more question … and blooper history was made.
