June 27th-29th, eastern Daviess County will fill up with the unmistakable and unforgettable sounds of bluegrass, country, folk, American roots, world music and indie rock when ROMP returns to Yellow Creek Park.

I love ROMP. I love the whole concept. Everyone camping out, jamming to some of the best music they will ever hear.

ROMP will kick off Thursday afternoon at Woodwards in the International Bluegrass Music Museum and then move to the Yellow Creek Park mainstage where a host of incredible musicians will entertain thousands. Bands like Kings Highway, Goodwill, the Boston Boys, 10 String Symphony and David Wax Museum will all lead up to performances by a couple of legendary performers--The Del McCoury Band at 7:20 and country music icon Merle Haggard at 8:45. Washington DC's Scythian will close the night at 10:30.

On Friday, June 28th, after early performances at Woodward's, Yellow Creek Park will once again play host to some of the greatest musical acts in the world--G2, the Giving Tree Band, Town Mountain, Della Me, the Steeldrivers, the Deadly Gentlemen, and a quartet that has become a bona fide ROMP crowd pleaser, the Carolina Chocolate Drops, who will take the stage at 9PM followed by a band that's been touring for 25 years, a band that broke bluegrass out into the mainstream with its addition of drums and its touring of rock & roll bars. I'm talking about Leftover Salmon who will finish Friday night with a 10:15 performance.

It's ALL Yellow Creek Park on Saturday beginning at 11AM. You'll see the Kentucky Bluegrass Allstars & Arnold Shultz String Revival, the Renegade String Band, the Professors of Bluegrass, the Spinney Brothers, the return of G2, the Lost Bayou Ramblers, bluegrass legends Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, the David Grisman Sextet, the Sam Bush Band, and another ROMP favorite...the Punch Brothers.
