Susan Montalvo Gesser and her daughters, Jacquelyn and JoJo, didn't spent Sunday in Owensboro.  Instead, they spent it with Pope Francis.  The family traveled to Philadelphia on a charter with Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Bowling Green and were surprised to lean they had 8th row seats for the Papal Mass.  Here's how they snagged the tickets and some photos from the event.

And Susan and the girls made the most of their prime seats . . .

They also managed to snap a photo of Bishop Medley, who seemed to be just as excited as they were to be there!

And they got a great shot of the processional onto stage.

And, even with 8th row seats at the Papal Mass, the Gessers couldn't resist the urge to get a shot of the Pope on the jumbotron!

Susan summed up the experience before the Papal Mass even started on Sunday.  She shared . . .

The blessings and miracles have already begun. Love for our brothers and sisters, husband, moms, dads...and especially for our most wonderful second family @Beth El Ner Tamid.

And Susan's daughter, Jacquelyn, was just as moved.  She said . . .

All that I can say is that I'm blessed. SUPER BLESSED! #PopeinPhilly

Pope Francis flew home to the Vatican late yesterday after a momentous first visit to the United States.  And we're thrilled that some folks from Owensboro got to witness his message first-hand.

Editor's Note:  Susan's trip could not have been possible without her "handsome husband, and all around great guy Chad, who stayed home to take care of their other two kids Michael and CeCe."  That late addition to the story was, of course, from her husband, Chad.  LOL!
