Lots of fun things to do and see this weekend. Not in any particular order here they are, some with links for more information.

At 2pm Saturday a ghost hunter will talk about his adventures. That will be at the Owensboro Museum of Science and History. It’s $3 per person. Children under 2 are free.

A film festival will be held from 10am to 9pm at Town Square Mall in the old Dawahares. $2 gets you in and all proceeds will benefit New Beginnings.   

Sunday Big Dipper will be celebrating their founder, George Osborne. He passed away last Friday. It’s Pig Fest II from 3pm – 8pm. During those hours they will be selling their Pig in a Blanket with the proceeds benefitting the Help Office.

 Reid’s Apple Fest at Reid’s orchard.  

This weekend is the final for Voices of Elmwood. Tonight the production includes a tent show. And, tomorrow night there will be a dinner show under the tent. Miller House caters the event and tickets are $35. Call 687-2732 for information.

The Lions Club Soap Box Derby rally event is Saturday and Sunday. It’s at Ben Hawes Park. Cars from all over the country are attending.

Fright Night at Diamond Lake this weekend and the next two.

Saturday it's a"Pay it Forward" Pure Stock Race for Zach Estes be Windy Hollow Speedway Saturday night. Proceeds will go toward the Estes family's medical expenses. Gates open at 3, race at 5pm. For information call 270-903-8992.

 Saturday night at 6 attend the "Footprints on my Heart" infant memorial service & support group. They will meet at OMHS Health Park Chapel at 6pm. There will be a remembrance of babies' brief lives with balloons, bubbles, poems & candles.

Time again for the Spirit of Evansville Chorus' annual show.  The local chapter of Sweet Adelines welcomes the public to attend one of two shows on Saturday at 2:00pm and 7:00pm.  The shows will again be held at The Centre at Good Samaritan Home located at 601 N Boeke Road in Evansville.  The theme for this year's show will be an old time radio show and is titled "WSOE presents the Al Capella Radio Revue", and will feature songs from the 1920's.  The evening performance will include refreshments during intermission as well as a Split the Pot Raffle and a raffle of assorted items.  Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and children 12/under.  Call 812-602-5152 for ticket information and advanced sales

Saturday the local 54th Ham Radio Jamboree on the Air will be held at Yellow Creek Park on Highway 144 starting at 4:30 until Sunday at ?  Scouts of any age can participate, from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts and Venturers.  Camping will be available Saturday night at Yellow Creek Park between shelters # 1 & 2 on the right in the park.
