Louisville’s Kevin Ware ‘In Good Spirits’ After Surgery Says Coach Rick Pitino [VIDEO]

University of Louisville guard Kevin Ware was rushed to the hospital following his horrible injury during Sunday evening’s game against Duke in Indianapolis.

As it turns out, Ware has two breaks in his tibia. Head coach Rick Pitino stayed over in Indianapolis to be with Ware and to see him through his surgery, which went fine.

Now preparations are underway for the Cardinals to head to Atlanta for the Final Four and for Kevin Ware to join them.

WRTV/Indianapolis caught up with Coach Pitino outside the hospital:
