While I was perusing through things to blog about for the week, I just happened to find this interesting piece of news. Nearly a year after the quirky Louisville landmark restaurant abruptly closed its doors, word comes this week Lynn's Paradise Cafe just might re-open in the new year under new ownership.Due to Lynn Winter's own health problems and a controversy over servers being tipped, although Winter denies a labor dispute factored into her decision, she closed the restaurant in early January this year. There are four potential buyers interested in the property and a deal could be reached by the end of the year. Of course Winter insists the new owners uphold the Paradise Cafe brand and its quirkiness. She will continue to serve as a consultant until the new owners get comfortable.

I only dined there once, for breakfast, and all I ordered was biscuits and gravy, but man, they were delicious! And the gift shop is just as quirky as the atmosphere. The restaurant, located in the Highlands became a popular tourist destination as well as drawing celebrity chefs like Guy Fieri and Bobby Flay.

Here's to good vibes and cross all your fingers and toes!
