Lydia’s Wish Fundraiser

Lydia Marie Haycraft is a five (almost six!) year old little girl.  She was recently diagnosed with "Ewings sarcoma" a rare bone cancer.

There are several fundraisers coming up, including this weekend, for the family to offset medical costs.Here's a little background for you...Lydia was first sent to Perry County Hospital in Indiana with chest and back pain, what was thought to be pneumonia. Immediately after her lymph node test came back and a chest x-ray revealed a mass on her lungs she was transported to a Childrens Hospital in Kentucky. Oct. 28, 2011 a bone scan and biopsy on her left arm was performed. Over the weekend the doctors informed the parents that they suspected a rare and deadly cancer and sure enough the results proved correct. She was given a short life time line but statistics have been proven wrong before.  This beautiful little girl is beginning a long and hard journey and greatly appreciates your support!

Lydia's Wish shirts (designed by Lydia!), koozies, and wristbands will be for sale this Saturday the 12th at Bills on the Hill IGA in Hawesville and Fifth Third Bank in Tell City from 9am to 1pm.
