There is a lot to do this weekend around Owensboro and throughout the Tri-state, and a lot of it is to benefit local families and charities. A "Pay It Forward" Pure Stock Race for Zach Estes will be held at Windy Hollow Raceway Saturday night. Proceeds will benefit the Kosair Children's Hospital..... Gates open at 3pm racing begins at 5. The Estes family want to pay it forward because of community support that led to Zach Estes remission and return to health. All proceeds will benefit Kosairs.

An infant memorial service and support group will be held at OMHS Health Park...in the Chapel. The "Footprints on my Heart" infant memorial service is set to begin at 6pm Saturday Oct 14th. There will be a remembrance of babies brief lives with balloons , bubbles, poems, and candles.

Saturday is the day for the Fatima Public Rosary Crusade All Across America. Our Lady of Lourdes Parrish Hall on Frederica St. in Owensboro will host the event begining at noon.

Events continue Sunday with "Smoke at the Creek" 2011. The truck and tractor pull will be at Myer Creek Park. At Yellow Creek Park Sunday the Local 54th Ham Radio Jamboree on the air will kick off at 4:30pm. Scouts of any age can participate including Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venturers. Camping will also be available saturday night.
