Mandatory 10-Digit Dialing Begins February 1st [VIDEO]

I gotta be honest. I thought I understood exactly what's going to happen on February 1st. The new 364 area code will be overlaid onto existing 270 area code phone numbers which will require us to ALWAYS dial 10 digits when making a phone call.

Again, I THOUGHT I got it. Seems simple enough. And maybe it is. Maybe it's all this technical language I'm seeing in press releases that's throwing me off unnecessarily.

But what it does mean is that we'll have to update certain things on our computers, tablets, and phones. For example, you will need to add the area code to any 7-digit number you have stored in your phone.
