According to out little buddy at Taste of Country, Alanna Conaway, Martina McBride will be sharing her time and talents for a special charity event in Nashville next week which will benefit the Shalom Foundation. It's called the third-annual Hymns, Hams and Jams concert. August 21st is the date for the fundraiser at Nashville’s famous Loveless Barn, although it is a good thirty minutes from Nashville. It is to help the organization and its medical program in Guatemala. Also scheduled to appear at the Hymns, Hams and Jams event will be legendary songwriter Bob DiPiero, former husband of Pam Tillis.

The Shalom Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to demonstrating Christian values while providing humanitarian aid to children and their families living in extreme poverty. The organization provides educational opportunities for both children and adults, essential food and clean water for the malnourished, community outreach in general and medical assistance for those with basic healthcare and critical care needs through the Moore Pediatric Surgery Center in Guatemala City.

The concert at Loveless Barn is set to begin at 6:30PM Nashville time, and will also include a silent auction, with proceeds also going to the the Shalom Foundation. Auction items will include tickets to the 2012 World Series, autographed guitars from Garth Brooks and Sugarland, a private bus party, concert tickets, backstage VIP experiences and more.
