Meet Jaiah Ignacio; WBKR’s New Intern from OHS

Hi, my name is Jaiah Ignacio, I am a senior at Owensboro High School and now the latest intern at WBKR. I have a passion for fashion, a love for carbs, and a knack for acting.

I’ve lived all over from Texas to Michigan but it’s Owensboro that is my home. I grew up with a love for acting and I am very grateful to go to a High School that’s known for their fine arts division. I’ve been involved with Owensboro High Schools Rose Curtain Players for three years now and I’ve loved every second of it as It allows me to not only act, but help out my community and meet some of the closest friends I have.

I spend my free time with my friends, my family, and most importantly, my dog- a labradoodle who I love more than life itself.

Vacationing is a necessity as I’m always looking for the chance to explore a new city, but don’t ask me to try new foods, I’m seriously the pickiest eater you’ll ever meet. Think I’m kidding? I’ll give your 3-year-old a run for their money.

My favorite food is waffles and my favorite movie is Ladybird, though the movie often changes depending on my mood.

I am very grateful for everything I have in life and eager to see where I go, treating every experience as a learning lesson and having fun with everything I do…. or at least trying to.
