Meet THE FIDDLEHEADS!

It's no secret that I am addicted to reality television and I particularly love reality talent competitions.  And this summer, like usual, I am a slave to America's Got Talent!  What I like most about NBC's hit summer series is the variety it offers.  Yes, they have some great singers (and singers usually win!!) . . . but they also have great magicians, dancers, death-defying acrobats, comedy acts and even pole dancers!  The show always seems to introduce us to unique folks with unique stories and unique talents.  One of my favorite acts from this season of Talent is THE FIDDLEHEADS!

If you liked the snippet of their "Forget You" performance on the show, check out this full performance I found on You Tube.  Cee Lo Green's "Forget You" is one of the biggest pop hits of the last year and I am totally digging the bluegrass spin The Fiddleheads put on it.  But their creative license doesn't stop with that song  . . .

Check out The Fiddleheads doing a cover of Britney Spears' huge dance hit 'Toxic!"  And, no!  I'm not kidding.  This is genius!  And they manage to sing it without shaving their heads and driving around Malibu with the baby out the car seat!

Unfortunately, on last week's first semifinal episode of America's Got Talent, The Fiddleheads took on the King of Pop and tried to battle their way out of the Top 48 with a performance of Michael Jackson's song "Billie Jean."  For whatever reason, something just didn't click and the judges were quick to point it out.  Take a listen! 

When the results were announced, The Fiddleheads didn't make the cut!  But that's okay!  Their appearance on America's Got Talent gained them national exposure and introduced them to a whole legion of folks who had never before heard of them!  I have a hunch that many became fans.  I am definitely one of them!  In fact, I just make catch a "Grenade" for them!  LOL!
