Meet WBKR’s Ugly Christmas Sweater T-Shirt Grand Prize Winners [Video]

This year's O Christmas Tees were the best ever thanks to Terry's Tees of Owensboro.  We loved the "ugly Christmas sweater" inspiration and hundreds of folks stormed retail stores on Thanksgiving and Black Friday decked out in WBKR holiday attire.  Three of them were surprised with Gaylord Opryland vacation packages and the cameras were rolling to capture each exciting minute.  This is the one time of the year when I feel like Ed McMahon driving around in the Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes van.  LOL!  It's so much fun and I love giving folks really good news!  Wanna see the winners?

Our surprise visit to Menard's provided some truly hilarious moments!  Our secret Santa spotter caught a glimpse of Shelby Stearsman as she was leaving the store with her aunt.  Watch what happened!!

While Shelby was shy and reserved, the same can't be said for her cousin Chelsey Daugherty.  Check out her reaction when she pulled up and realized they had won the grand prize!

Congratulations Shelby and Chelsey!  Looks like the whole family has plans to head to Nashville and enjoy a "Country Christmas" at Gaylord Opryland Resort!

You know who else is going?  Lisa Beers from Richland, Indiana.  She and her son dressed up like elves and were spotted exiting Bath & Body Works inside Towne Square Mall.  Lisa was thrilled and her son asked me questions that, well, only a kid would ask.  This kid's a riot.

Now, you've heard the expression that lightning strikes twice?  You likely have also heard news stories about those incredibly lucky people that win the lottery TWICE!!  Well, guess what!  Lightning struck our O Christmas Tees contest and Kay O'Bryan, who won last year, won AGAIN this year!!  How cool . . . and lucky . . . is this?

Thanks to everyone who wore their ugly Christmas sweater t-shirts shopping!  My secret Santa spotter and I heard all kinds of stories about the sea of WBKR shirts in a variety of stores around the area.  Truly . . . thank you so much and sorry we missed you this year!
