Meteorologist David Heckard Leaving Eyewitness News

The weather team at Eyewitness News is losing a familiar face.  David Heckard, who started working for WEHT in Evansville in 2006, announced yesterday via Facebook page that he is taking the next step in his career.  Wanna know where he's going?

Well, after almost 7 years in the TV industry, I am retiring to Florida.
I will be working at WBBH-TV in Fort Myers, where I will be the weekend evening meteorologist on the ABC side (WZVN) and do fill-in work for WBBH.
Ariza Miyagi(David's fiance) is also joining me at the station, as she has accepted a position there.

The fun starts at the end of July!

Join us in wishing David and Ariza the best of luck.  David has been a longtime friend of WBKR/WOMI and we are going to miss him professionally and personally!  But, hey!  At least we have a place to stay when we go to Florida!
