Minor Earthquake Felt Near Memphis Tennessee

The earthquake felt near Memphis this morning around 8:30 was rated at a 3.5 and no damage has been reported.  The Memphis area is located on the New Madrid Fault which is ENORMOUS.  Big is an understatement.  So big in fact that it is 20 times larger than the San Andreas Fault in California.  The fault has had a shake before back in the 1800's an earthquake in the same area registered at a 6 and more than 20 states felt the shake.
