One of the most classic monologues in the history of television is getting new life . . . thanks to a Miss America hopeful from Owensboro, Kentucky.  Molly Kothlow won the title of Miss Eastern Kentucky over the weekend and was propelled to victory with her campy, fun and stirring performance in the talent competition.  She recreated Julia Sugarbaker's famous "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" monologue from the classic sitcom Designing Women.  Check it out!

And, in case you have forgotten the original . . .

Molly will do her best "Julia Sugarbaker" Saturday, July 2nd, in Lexington, Kentucky, when she competes for the title of Miss Kentucky!  We'll be cheering her on and hoping she showers the darkened arena with Julia-inspired sparks!
