It was on this date in 2007 that Vince Gill joined up with the Fruit of the Loom clothing company to do commercials for the firm. They performed "Daddy Was the apple of My Eye". Wanna see it? Not the commercial, just Vince and the "Fruits" singing the song. Look.

Willie Nelson stirred up some controversy in 2005 when he released a reggae album. It was called "Countryman" and unfortunately featured an icon that Willie is associated with.

Well, Walmart, which has a lot of clout, refused to carry it unless the cover was changed.
