Y'all know by now how much I love a good 7th grade slow-dance, right? There's just something very trusting about having a good slow-dance with someone. You can't get physically much closer to someone else, unless you're doing the actual 7th grade version where there is 4 feet of space in between you and your dance partner. But, a grown up slow-dance? It's so innocent, but intense and I love it.

Well, behind every good slow dance is a great love song. So, I thought with Valentine's Day quickly approaching, I would share with y'all some of my favorite slow-dance producing love songs.

1. "She's Every Woman" - Garth

"When it comes down to temptation, she's on both sides of the fence"... Instantly makes me melt. When he loves you for everything you are and for everything you aren't... #Swoon

2. "I Can't Help Falling In Love With You" - Elvis

"Wise men say, only fools rush in"... Heck, forget the rules, when you feel it, go for it. "Take my hand, take my whole life, too"... He is giving her everything that he has, that's love, friends.

3. "Oklahoma Sky" - Miranda Lambert

"How long has it taken me to find you? 500 years, 500,000 miles. That don't matter now, love's always on time."... I love the simplicity of this song and how it makes it ok to find each other when you do. Sometimes it takes a while to find what you have been missing all this time, this song explains that perfectly.

4. "To Make You Feel My Love" - Garth Brooks

"I can make you happy, make your dreams come true. There's nothing that I wouldn't do, go to the ends of the Earth for you. To make you feel my love"... That's devotion, my friends. This one may be my favorite. No matter what it takes, he's going to let you know what you mean to him.

5a. "Come With Me" - Waylon Jennings

"If it's dark in your world, come walk in mine. My love's a light babe, it's on all the time"... To me, this is the ultimate, I am here to take care of you, no matter what you need, no matter how bad it gets. Makes me feel all the feels.

5b. "Fire Away" - Chris Stapleton

"Honey load up your questions and pick up your sticks and your stones. And pretend I'm a shelter for heartaches that don't have a home"... Much like "Come With Me", this is the scene in the movies when the girl is having a breakdown and he just picks her up and somehow makes it all better. No one is scared, it's just complete trust and comfort. This is a grown-up love song at its finest. (Authors Note: You can't just dance with anyone on this one. The song means too much to dance with a nobody.)

6. "That's How Strong My Love Is" - Otis Redding

"If I was the sun way up there, I'd go with love most everywhere. I'll be the moon when the sun goes down, just to let you know that I'm still around"... He wants to be her everything. Plus, how can you not want to slow-dance to Otis?

7. "Whatever It Is" - Zac Brown Band

"People ask me what it is, I tell them I don't know. There's just something about the woman makes my heart go haywire, she's gonna be my wife"... He can't even put into words why he loves her, but he's smart enough to know he needs her and isn't letting her go. Who needs words, when you feel it, right?!?

8. "1,000 Faces" - Randy Montana

"Love has a 1,000 faces. But I see you. Before I ever knew you, before I ever knew you. I dreamed of you"... You ever pray for something, not even knowing what you needed, then all of sudden you feel like your prayers have been answered? I feel like that's what this song is saying. Love this one.

9. "All Of Me" - John Legend

(PS. This video is pretty steamy. These two are married in real life and I think they are just adorable!)

"How many times do I have to tell you, Even when you're crying you're beautiful too. The world is beating you down, I'm around through every mood. You're my downfall, you're my muse. My worst distraction, my rhythm and blues. I can't stop singing, it's ringing, in my head for you"... Because real life can't hide behind a few filters and make everything pretty. Life and love are hard, but that's the beauty in both.

10. "Daddy's Money" - Ricochet

"She's got her daddy's money, her mama's good looks. More laughs than a stack of comic books. A wild imagination, a college education. Add it all up it's a deadly combination. She's a good bass fisher, a dynamite kisser.
Country as a turnip green. She's got her daddy's money, her mama's good looks, and look who's lookin' at me"... What, you didn't see this one coming? Ha! I loooove this song! Sure, you'll have to fast dance to this one, but I just love how he is listing all the things he likes about her and he can't  believe that she actually likes him! It's adorable and I love it!

Honorable Mentions:

"One Woman" Randy Rogers Band, "Crazy Girl" Eli Young Band, "Colors" Grace Potter, "A Woman Like You" Lee Brice, "Wanted" Hunter Hayes, "Carried Away" George Strait, "Amazed" Lonestar, "She's My Kind Of Rain" Tim McGraw, "Just The Way You Are" Bruno Mars, "Love Song" Miranda Lambert, "Interstate" Randy Rogers Band, "Marry Me" Jason Derulo, "Let It Be Me" Ray LaMontagne... Just to name a few. Not gonna lie, I kept one favorite for myself. Still holding on to that one.

So, what of your favorites did I miss? If anything, I just helped get together a killer Valentine's Day playlist for you. You are more than welcome!

Now, y'all get to dancing!
