With Valentine's Day lurking, I thought it only fitting to share with y'all some of my favorite romantic movies. Now, this is a very short list, I could list dozens, ha! Take a look and let me know which of your favorites I've left off my list.

(In no particular order, ha)

"Sixteen Candles"

I can't even remember the first time I saw this movie, it's just always been one of my favorites. I have two friends (one my sister) that we tend to quote several lines from this classic. Love me some Jake Ryan, right?!?

"Sweet Home Alabama"

My love for Reese Witherspoon just adds to my love for this down-home, good-timin' movie. Oh my goodness, the scene at the coon-dog cemetery gets me every time, I am almost in tears right now just thinking about it! Ok, if you'll excuse me... (sniff, sniff)

 "Love Actually"

This is probably one of, if not my favorite movie of all time. I know, those are pretty serious words, but completely true. My heart aches for so many of the story-lines and I bet I've watched it hundreds of times. I laugh, I cry (a lot), I get up and dance, it hits every emotion for me. You know what, I think I'm gonna watch it after work. Yep, it's been at least three weeks since I've watched it last, way too long, ha!

"Notting Hill"

Let's just continue on with the Hugh Grant theme, shall we? If you don't love Julia Roberts, we can't be friends. Put these two together, I'm sold! Seriously thou, the scene when she comes back to visit him in the bookstore and says the famous line "I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her", I yell at the TV every time "Don't you dare let her walk out". Yes, I've seen it plenty of times to know that he does, I just still can't believe that he did! Ugh... Men. At least he wises up at the end. See, I'm emotionally involved, ha!

"The Notebook"

Y'all didn't think I'd forget to include this one, right? I went to see this movie with my uncle, sister and cousin and we were crying so hard at the end, that we had to sit in the theater for 15 minutes before we gathered our composure to leave. I kid you not, ha! First of all, I love the time period that the movie is set. The fashion alone is amazing. Mix in one of the greatest (pretend) love stories of all time and I am instantly in love. I can't handle it when they dance in the street, it's magical. Really thou, where is my Noah?

Well, there's a very short list of my favorite romantic movies. Guess I'm a hopeless romantic, what can I say? So, which of your favorites did I forget about?

**UPDATE**

Oh my goodness, y'all, after I published this initially, I was reading thru your comments and realized I forgot one of my absolute favorites of all time. I mean it this time. How could I have left this movie off the list? I've cried so many tears watching this movie, I could have filled up a five-gallon bucket by now. My sincere apologies to Sandra Bullock and Harry Connick, Jr. Please, allow me to introduce yet another favorite...

"Hope Floats"

The fact that I forget this one is really upsetting to me. This movie makes you ache for all of the characters and the way the story takes you in so many directions with Bernice, Birdie's dad and how she really grows into her true self is beautiful. Ok, I feel a little bit better about realizing my mistake and adding this one to the list. Whew, that was a close one!
