I've seen my fair share of those "found footage" horror movies. You know...the ones that are supposed to look like amateur video found on a camera someone left on train or in a cemetery or at Wal-mart.

I guess Paranormal Activity and The Blair Witch Project are the two best examples. They're certainly two of the biggest money-makers in the genre.

But as it's become more and more of a GENRE, some of the titles have been pretty sub-par; the myriad Paranormal Activity sequels and The Last Exorcism leap to mind.

But The Houses That October Built from Image and RLJ Entertainment looks different. And, yes, clearly I could be wrong. But I think the theme of a group of people looking for the ultimate, most extreme haunted house is a great one.

And I get the point made by one of the guys in the trailer where we wonders how scary can you make a commercial haunted house without actually hurting someone.

To me, that's the biggest challenge with a commercial haunted house--how to scare people if they know they're not going to die.

I can't wait to see this movie. And it may not be easy, from what I understand, the release will be limited, so I may have to hunt for it.

I plan on it.

I hope it's worth it.
