This story has spread across the country like wildfire, and for good reason. We see plenty of bad news every time we turn on the television.

So it's nice to have this story about a policeman in New York City who noticed a homeless man walking barefoot down the street and decided to go buy the man a pair of shoes. That it's happening at Christmas time only enhances the positive vibes.

But, hey, if it was April, the cop still did a very good thing.
