I love the new tradition of doing a live broadcast at the Grand Ole Opry to kick off CMA Music Fest week in Nashville. It always comes with meeting very cool people, great live music, and, sometimes, strawberry cheesecake shaved ice:

But, back to the music. Alright, alright, eyes front. Yes, I know it looks good. (And it WAS!)

Anyway, there's always an Opry Plaza Party which features free music before the Tuesday night Grand Ole Opry show that kicks off the week.

Chris Janson, whom you just saw, opened for Charlie Worsham who also performed that night at the Opry. (And he opened with a very cool bluegrass version of Ozzy's "Crazy Train" so I'll have to post that as soon as its available.)

But it's a great start to a great week in one of America's greatest cities--and, really, THE place to be for any country music fan the first full week in June.
