Ohio County Votes To Stay Dry

In February, the city of Beaver Dam voted in favor of alcohol sales. Tuesday night, all of Ohio County had their say and they voted against the county going wet.

The results: Yes-2,173 No-2,512. Not withstanding the county-wide vote, an ABC ordinance for Beaver Dam was approved last week. As of April 2nd, the city is now officially "wet" and patrons could start applying for liquor licenses.

The last time the wet/dry issue was voted on in the county, 1979.
