OPD Identifies Body Found Wednesday Morning Near Smothers Park

The Owensboro Police Department was called downtown near Smothers Park, where a female body had been found in an alley. Via the OPD, the person has been identified and they believe cause of death was suicide.

(Per the OPD police report)

At approximately 9:50 a.m. on July 3, 2013, the Owensboro Police Department responded to a call regarding a female who had reportedly jumped from a building in the 100 block of Daviess Street.

Officers on scene located a deceased adult female in an alley west of Daviess Street. During the investigation, the coroner’s office confirmed that the adult female had died after jumping from the top of the downtown parking garage.

Foul play is not suspected at this time.

Deceased:

Mae R. Milne, a 77 year old, white female

Owensboro, KY. 42301
