Owensboro Police Department detective makes arrest in connection with Operation Broken Heart.

Operation Broken Heart is a nationwide effort taking place during the month of May to crack down on child pornography and other sex crimes. There are 61 national task forces that comprise this effort. The Owensboro Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigations are conducted in cooperation with the Kentucky State Police task force.

On Tuesday, May 6th, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Jason D. Wilkie was arrested for electronically possessing and distributing matter via a computer after a search warrant was executed by the detective at the violation location. Wilkie’s computer contained inappropriate images of juvenile females.

Jason D. Wilkie is currently lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.

Arrested: Jason D. Wilkie, W/M/30, 300 block of E. 21st Street Owensboro, KY 42303

Charges:

(20 Counts) Possessing/Viewing Matter Portraying Sexual Performance by Minor

– Class D Felony

(20 counts) Distribution of Matter Portraying Sexual Performance by Minor, 1st Offense –  Class D Felony
