OPS Special Called Meeting Will Include Discussion Of New OHS/KWC Track

In July of last year, Kentucky Wesleyan announced a partnership with Owensboro Public Schools and Owensboro Health to bring a state of the art track and field facility to the city for both OHS and KWC to use. Further discussion on the project is on the agenda for a special called OPS meeting to be held Thursday.

Two items on the agenda for Thursday's meeting, which will be at Newton Parrish Elementary at 11:00 a.m., will address bids and a revised BG-1 for the track project. At the time of the announcement last year, there was no timeline for when the track would be completed. It is to be built on South Griffith Avenue between the Owensboro North and South Middle School campuses.
