As a proud Western Kentucky University alum, I'm always ready to support my Hilltoppers. But, after spending some time on The Hill last week checking out Western's football facilities and practice, I'm more ready for the season to get started than ever!

Brett and I spent several hours in Bowling Green getting a tour of the facilities and checking out practice. To say we were blown away is a complete understatement.

Check it out for yourself...

It's been six years since the new side of the stadium was built, but it looks like it was just completed. Some of my favorite features were the locker room and the equipment room. The floor to ceiling shelves filled with shoes, gear, helmets and jerseys, on rails, was pretty amazing. I think it's the little details throughout the entire facility that were the coolest. I mean, the trademark "Red Towel" as elevator buttons?!? Seriously, whoever thought of that deserves a raise, ha!

We were able to check out the administrative office areas, meeting rooms and film area. In case the rest of the college football world didn't know, Western's facilities are right up there with the big boys, so in short... bring it.

Know what's even better than the facilities?? How good our team is going to be this year. Good luck trying to stop our offense, ha! I can't wait for Thursday night. It's the season opener in Nashville against Vanderbilt. Y'all already know your girl is going to be there, cheering on the Tops!

I have to give a massive THANK YOU to Travis Taylor, Assistant Director of Football Operations! Travis let us follow him around all day and was the perfect tour guide. And, a big shout out to Head Coach Jeff Brohm for letting us check out practice! We had a blast!

Y'all don't forget to get your tickets to watch the Hilltoppers in action this year. The Toppers host Louisiana Tech, Miami (Ohio), Middle Tennessee State, Florida Atlantic (Homecoming) and Marshall. Tickets are still available by calling 1-800-5-BIG-RED or you can click HERE.

Can't wait to cheer on my Tops this year!

(By the way, how awesome did Brett do editing this video?!? He rocked it out!!)
