With all the spitting snow I've seen today, I wondered if would escalate into anything significant. Well, it now officially just might.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the tri-state. Here's what it is possible for us to expect:

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Snow Showers. Additional snow accumulations mostly less
  than 1 inch. Isolated amounts around 1 inch possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Indiana, western Kentucky and
  southern Illinois.

* WHEN...Until midnight CST tonight.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads
and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can
be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

Please use extra caution through the balance of this advisory period.

Remember to pop that gear shift into neutral when coming to a stop and be safe!
