Owensboro Daviess County Babe Ruth 13s and 14s Win West State Tournaments

Congratulations are in order for the Owensboro Daviess County 13 year old and 14 year old baseball teams. Last night both teams won the West State Tournaments to advance to the regional tournaments!

ODC 13s defeated Henderson County last night (July 15^th) 12-2 to advance to the Ohio Valley Regional Tournament that will begin next Wednesday (July 24^th) in Robinson, Ill. ODC 14s came from behind to defeat Germanton last night to advance to the Ohio Valley Regional Tournament which also begins next Wednesday in Jasper, Ind. Here is to good games for both teams in next week’s tournaments!

Also wishing good games to the ODC 15 year old Babe Ruth Baseball team as the begin West State Tournament play. The tournament starts tonight at Chautauqua Park here in Owensboro. Games scheduled tonight include: No. 1 seed Blue Lick v. No. 8 Lyon County at 5:30pm followed by No. 4 Franklin-Simpson v. No. 5 Metcalfe County. ODC 15s will have their first tournament game tomorrow night against No. 7 seed Henderson County, that game starts at 5:30. Also on the schedule tomorrow night, No. 3 Germantown v. No. 6 Hancock County, with that game starting at 8pm.
