Owensboro Daviess County Has Another Team Headed to Regionals

Yesterday I put up a blog about the 13 and 14 year old Owensboro-Daviess county Babe Ruth teams winning the West State Tournament and heading to Regionals. Well today I found out that another Owensboro-Daviess county team is heading to Regionals!

The Owensboro-Daviess County 11 year old Cal Ripken All Star team just qualified for their Regionals!

From what I have been told, this is the first time the ODC 11 year old Cal Ripken All Star team has made it to Regionals! So a big congratulations to the ODC 11 year old Cal Ripken All Star team. Their tournament will be July 31^st through August 4^th in Georgetown, KY. They will be one of 12 teams from 7 different states.

To help them make the trip to Regionals, the ODC 11 year old Cal Ripken All Star team will be holding several fundraisers. The proceeds of these fundraisers will go to help the team cover room and board for the tournament.  The information on the fundraisers is below:

• Sat and Sun, July 20^th and 21^st --- Walmart on Hwy 54.   The team will be present asking for donations.
• Sat, July 27^th --- Car wash at Real Hacienda on Hwy 54.
• Tues, July 30^th --- Real Hacienda on Hwy 54 will be donating 10% of the DAILY sales to the team.
