Owensboro Police Department Make Arrest after Shooting

Owensboro Police make arrest after the shooting last week in the area of East 19th St.

Chavonte Davenport has been arrested and charged with Assualt 1st Degree and Assault 2nd Degree after the shooting last week in the area of East 19th St. & Alexander Avenue in Owensboro. 

On Friday, July 20, 2018, at approximately 8:20 a.m. the Owensboro Police Department responded to the area of East 19th St & Alexander Avenue on a disturbance. During an altercation in the roadway the victim sustained non-life threatening injuries from a gunshot as well as being struck by the suspect’s vehicle when he left t the scene. The victim was transported to the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for medical treatment. Officers determined a second victim had a minor injury from also being struck by the suspect’s vehicle; however they were treated on scene.

This case is still under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Owensboro Police Department.

Swihart, Brittany - 1713 East 19th Street Owensboro, KY - 30 years old
