The Owensboro Rage (2-1) fell at home Friday night to the Dayton Sharks (2-0) 54 to 14, at the Ramada Inn Field at the Next Level Sports Facility. This marks the first loss of the 2013 season for the Rage as they head into a bye week for the team. 

The Rage were lead by former University of Louisville quarterback Bill Ashburn who went 11 for 26 passing for 105 yards and 6 rushes for 18 yards. Rage running back Roderick Hawkins had one rushing touchdown. Former Indiana University quarterback Tommy Jones went 12 for 16 passing with 185 yards and 5 touchdowns for the Sharks.

Owensboro Rage Head Coach Mike Goodpaster said that tonight loss was tough considering it was the second game for the Rage within five days. "Tonight's game showed us exactly where we are heading into the bye week." The Owensboro squad was down 35-0 at the half, but came out strong and gave an improved second half effort. "We will take this lesson and build upon it in preparation for our next game against the Kentucky Xtreme."

The Owensboro Rage will return to action at home on Saturday Night, March 9th at The Next Level Sports Facility with at 7pm Kick-Off against the Kentucky Xtreme of Louisville in Continental Indoor Football League regular season action.
