The Owensboro Rage (Owensboro's professional indoor football team) has won their first game in team history, Sunday night at the Next Level Sports Complex. The Rage put up 60 points as they defeated the Cincinnati Bulldogs 60-0, in a shortened game at Ramada Inn Field, due to fourth quarter forfeit. QB Bill Ashburn (University of Louisville) ran in for the first score in the Owensboro Rage franchise early in the first quarter. Backup QB Richie Cox (Harvard University) threw for three touchdowns and ran for another. Running Back Roderick Hawkins rushed for four touchdowns, while Wide Receiver Derek Brown (Kentucky Wesleyan) caught two touchdown passes and WR Ray Everhart caught one.

Defensively, the Rage was all over the field. David James (KWC) led the team with ten tackles and Blake Harris (Tennessee State) was close behind with nine. The Rage defensive-backs had a big night as well, intercepting the Bulldog QB four times. The Rage held Cincinnati to negative 42 yards of total offense.

The Owensboro Rage will host their last pre-season game this Friday, February 1st against the three-time National Champions Nashville Storm. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm at the Next Level Sports Complex located at 105 Carlton Drive in Owensboro. Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $7.00 for children.
