Next season, there's going to be a new edition and new look at the Owensboro Regional Farmers Market.  It's going to have a brand new indoor structure!  And work on that building will begin this Fall.  Take a look.

The Owensboro Regional Farmers Market is in the process of raising $400,000 for their new facility.  And, thus far, the Market, in conjunction with the Kentucky Ag Development Board, has raised approximately $233,000.   Even more exciting news is the fact that the market is one of the five finalists for this year's Impact 100 grants, which will present two local non-profit organizations a $100,000 award.

If the Owensboro Regional Farmers Market wins the Impact award, they know exactly how they will use it.  They will help fund construction of this brand new structure, which will house up to thirty vendors.  The facility will allow some vendors to back into the building to showcase and sell their goods.  Smaller vendors will be able to carry their merchandise into the facility and display them in booths arranged in the middle of the structure.

Here's a blueprint of how the interior of the structure will look-

The new structure will be permanently situated on Triplett Street and will serve as a multi-functional facility when the Owensboro Regional Farmer Market is not using it.  The market, of course, will continue to be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
