Owensboro Truck Driver Shares Over-the-Road Experiences [Photos]
Ever wonder what it would be like to have a job that requires constant cross-country traveling. Imagine the places you’d go and sites you’d see?
Owensboro native, and my little brother, Chance Albin lives out the musings of Dr. Seuss as an over-the-road truck driver. It seems like every week he is stopping in Phoenix, AZ, to share open flame mesquite chicken with our older brother, a beer batter fish fry in Milwaukee with our cousin Mike or soaking up the local flavor in cities and towns across the country.
Though you might not immediately think of over-the-road trucking as a glamorous job, like anything, it’s what you make of it. Most of the time, it’s racking up the miles but the things you can see and experience – well, you can’t do that in just any job.
He has shared his photos with us so that you can “ride along” and enjoy our country with him from the driver’s seat. And, don’t worry. He had his trainee take the photos so he could safely navigate his 40 ton truck.
