The Blue Bridge, officially the Glover Cary bridge reopened this morning and was open till 6pm to foot and bike traffic. Closed since July 5th the last time the bridge was available for non-vehicle traffic was 1940 when it opened. This morning my wife, Debra and B. Dawn Kadonk from the Demolition Dolls, Evansville's Roller Derby and I crossed the bridge.

It was very windy and chilly. It was fun, though. Lots of folks were on the bridge jogging, walking, biking and should continue through the day. A truly once-in-a-lifetime event.

Here are some visuals.
