At the Aspire to Stardom Talent Competition over the weekend in Clarksville, Tennessee, Owensboro singing sensation Skylar Cain "Let 'Er Rip."  Literally!  Her performance of the classic Dixie Chicks song earned her first place among hundreds of contestants.  We have video of her performance and a list of what she won.  You won't believe how well she sang and how much cash this kid pocketed for besting the field!  Take a look!

Yep!  I'd say Skylar just laid that song out.  And she has a lot to show for doing it.  This is what she won for her first place finish . . .

How awesome is that?  The $500 academic prize will be awarded to Highland Elementary, where Skylar attends school.  The $500 dance/vocal school prize will be awarded to Randy Lanham and High Hopes Music, where Skylar studies music and takes fiddle lessons.
