Owensboro’s St. Patrick’s Day Dash

Most people think of shamrocks, leprechauns, or other green items for St. Patrick’s Day. All of these are great, but how about adding another item to the list this year.

The Owensboro Parks and Recreation Department is holding the 7^th annual St. Patrick’s Day Dash on March 16th! The day will hold a 5K walk/run and a 10K run. The race will take runners/walkers along the South Trail of the Greenbelt.

Racers check in beginning at 7:15am the day of the race at O’Charley’s Restaurant. Sign in will continue until 7:45am. Both races will begin at 8am.

A post race breakfast will be available for all participants, where awards will be presented to the winning male and female in each race, as well as to the top three finishers in each age division. Participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt and be eligible for door prizes.

The entry fee is $20 per person on or before March 1^st and $25 per person after March 1^st.
