IDOL: Chad’s Top 5 Predicitions [Video]

I guess you can tell by the photo who I am pulling for.  Yes!  As the 11th season of American Idol winds down, I am most definitely Team Josh.  For me, Joshua Ledet has been the most consistent performer on the show.  He has gotten the most standing ovations from the judges.  He's given Jennifer Lopez more "goosies" than Marc Anthony ever did (LOL!).  And you just know that when he gets that mic he's gonna lay it all out on the stage.  I am a HUGE fan.  But, I don't think Joshua has any chance at all to win.  And, here's why.  While he's been consistently great, the remaining top five had all had great moments as well.  And here they are . . .

Elise “Bites the Dust” on IDOL

WBKR's American Idol expert, Steve Thompson, called it.  Thursday, on the WBKR Waking Crew, he said that while Elise may have had her best week on the show she was likely going home.  On last night's results show, she did.  Which leaves us with five remaining Idol hopefuls.  In sports this is what analysts call "Crunch Time."  So, Steve is "crunching" the Idol numbers to give us his opinions about who is finale bound and who's headed for a heartbreak.

Last night on American Idol, Skylar Laine and our other remaining Idol hopefuls took on the songbook of famed rock group, Queen.  And there were stand-out performances all over the place.  At one point during the night, Jennifer Lopez asked, "How are we supposed to judge?  They are all so good."  Luckily, here at WBKR, we have our very own Idol expert.  Yes!  Steve Thompson was tuned in and, here at WBKR.com, gives us his picks of the night and ideas about who might be going home.

IDOL Shocker! Favorite Voted Off, Saved by Judges

Late yesterday afternoon, news broke on TMZ that there was going to be a SHOCKING result on the American Idol results show.  And that was quite the understatement.  After the nationwide votes were tallied, Joshua Ledet, Elise Testone and Jessica Sanchez found themselves in the bottom three.  Then, then bombshell!  Jessica, who earlier in the season, after tearing into "I Will Always Love You," established herself as this year's favorite for the crown, was told SHE was the lowest vote-getter.  What?  Are you freaking kidding me, America?  Is this real?  Or is Idol pulling our leg?  Was this a cheap ratings stunt designed to get us all in an uproar?  Let's turn to our Idol expert, Steve Thompson, who tries to make sense of the madness and mayhem.

American Idol: And Then There Were Seven

Goodbye, DeAndre.  Last night, on the American Idol results show, DeAndre Brackensick was shown the door, despite Jennifer Lopez's campaign to save him.  See, the judges have that one-time save to use anytime before Idol narrows its field to five.  And Jennifer has been a long-time and rather vocal supporter for DeAndre.  And, after he sang for his life last night, Jennifer voted to keep him, but Randy and Steven disagreed.  With that said, the Idol field is down to seven.  Our Idol expert Steve Thompson handicaps the remaining field and tells us what to expect next!

Skylar, IDOL’s Country Gal, Wins the Night! [Video]

Last night was "80's Night" on American Idol and our remaining 8 contestants battled it out at the mic for your votes.  They took on Cyndi Lauper, Genesis, DeBarge, Simply Red and more.  But it was Idol's resident country gal who went back through the 80's catalog and scooped up a song that hit the charts twice in the decade:  once by country star Gary Morris, the second by movie star Bette Midler.  Yep!  As our Idol expert, Steve Thompson, explains, Skylar Laine KILLED "Wind Beneath My Wings!" and put herself square in contention for the title!
