Last May, Bardstown, Kentucky police officer Jason Ellis was gunned down after stopping on an exit ramp just off the Bluegrass Parkway in Nelson County. While his patrol car was equipped with a dash cam, it was not operating at the time.

Flash forward to early last Saturday morning when 28-year-old Timothy Davison of Poland, Maine was driving home from Florida after spending the holidays with his family and was shot to death by an unknown assailant along Pennsylvania's Interstate 81. He'd called 911 to report that a vehicle had been tailing him very closely while he was driving through Maryland.

The driver of that vehicle began shooting at Davison, forced him off the road into a snow bank and killed him.

Now, investigators in Kentucky are in contact with Pennsylvania authorities due to striking similarities between this road rage murder and the murder of Officer Ellis back in May.
