The Bluegrass in the Park Folklife Festival and the American Red Cross present Pedalin' & Pickin' this Saturday, August 9 in Henderson.

It's being called Kentucky's first Bluegrass bike ride. All levels of riders can take a beautiful scenic ride down Henderson's wide city streets and then they can ride out to the byways of Henderson County. After the ride, participants can come out to Audubon Mill Park and listen to great Bluegrass music from the likes of, Poke La Farge, Audie Blaylock and Redline, Detour and many more. The concerts are free and they are laid out on the banks of the Ohio River.

While on the route, riders will enjoy live Bluegrass music at two rest stops. And of course, wholesome snacks and drinks will be provided. Riders can choose from four different routes: 12, 22, 40, or a 65 mile circuit all mapped out and marked.

Registration for single riders is $30, families can ride for $40; a registration tent will be set Audubon Mill Park (100 Second Street in Henderson) and it begins at 7 AM. Complete event info here.
