Pope Francis is Cleaning Out His Closet – Raffling Items and Giving Money to the Poor

Pope Francis is cleaning out his closet - physically not metaphorically. He's raffling the items and giving the money to the poor.

Those interested can buy tickets to the raffle at the Vatican and the winning numbers will be announced on the Vatican website. Be prepared to translate Italian. It wasn't clear if each piece would be assigned a number of it will be played Dirty Santa style.

Items include a new four-wheel-drive Fiat Panda (can't you see Jaclyn in the Popemobile?), a leather suitcase, a Panama-style hat (which Dave Spencer really wants), an espresso coffee machine, watches and bicycles.

Tickets are only about 10 euros - or $12 American dollars and in addition to the 13 big items, unnamed consolation prizes will be given out as well.
