Reba McEntire's work life is busier than ever these days, but in the season of giving and spending time with family, the legend is especially focused on her role as a grandmother.

McEntire became a grandmother again this year when stepson Brandon Blackstock (who has two children from a previous marriage) and daughter-in-law Kelly Clarkson welcomed their first child. A little girl, River Rose, was born on June 12, and McEntire admits she's already developed a close bond with the 6-month-old, expressing how happy she is for the family.

“I am so happy for Kelly,” McEntire says (quote via Country Music Is Love), "and the way she is with River is as it should be with every mother and their baby."

McEntire and husband Narvel now have a whopping six grandchildren, but the novelty of being a grandmother hasn't worn off at all. In fact, the iconic singer would have you believe it's better and better with each new life!

“(They’re) totally as different as night and day from each other,” McEntire says of her grandchildren. “I love every one of them to pieces, and River is going to be so loved in this family."

While sadly this is the first holiday season that McEntire will have without her father, who died in October, he lived a long and fulfilled life, passing at age 86. We're thinking of the singer and her adorable, ever-growing family this holiday season!
