My friend JoAnn Richardson, who works at U.S. Bank Home Mortgage and volunteers for a variety of charities like March of Dimes and Special Olympics Kentucky, told me about this recipe last Saturday at the March for Babies.  She promised she would make me some "firecrackers" and she did!  And they're so fire-breathing good, I am sharing recipe with YOU!  Check this out.  They're quick, easy, hot and spicy.  There is literally some fire up in these crackers!

JoAnn's Firecrackers

4 sleeves of crackers

1 package dry ranch dressing mix

1 and 1/2 cup canola oil

2 tablespoons red pepper flakes

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dillweed

Line the crackers in a giant plastic Ziploc bag or a large plastic container with a lid.  It's important that whatever you use seals and does NOT leak.

Mix the oil, dry ranch dressing mix, red pepper flakes, garlic powder and dillweed together.  Pour over the top of your crackers.

Every 15 minutes, for two hours, turn your container upside down and over, so the oil and spices coat each cracker.

After two hours . . . after everything has a had a chance to soak into your crackers . . . ENJOY!!

Store at room temperature!
