Romp is back with another stellar year of unbelievable Bluegrass talent. Tonight enjoy the The Lonesome River Band at 7:20, The Deadly Gentlemen at 8:40, The Punch Brothers hit the stage at 10:00, and the evening will end with a huge after party in the rear of the park with Bawn in the Mash and the return of Belfrey Fellows.

I had the pleasure of meeting the folks from Grandview Junction a happily married ensemble who have been writing and playing original music since 2005. Husband and wife Dan and Linda Musselwhite share the stage with their counterpart husband and wife duo Susan and Tim Key and they bring a soulful gospel slash bluegrass sound that is all their own with friendly faces to boot.

The line-up Saturday begins early in the morn with County Line Bluegrass hitting the stage at 10am, Kentucky Bluegrass Allstars and Arnold Schultz Revival at 11, Snap Jackson and the Knock on Wood Players at 11:45, followed by The Expedition Show at 1pm.  that is just the beginning of the fun Saturday with the afternoon bringing the likes of Newton at 2:15, Newfound Road at 3:30, Bearfoot at 4:45, Pokey LaFarge and the South City Three hit the stage at 6, The 23 String Band at 7:20, and at 8:40 the one and only Caroline Chocolate Drops play live in person followed by the amazing sound of Old Crow Medicine show at 10. The weekend festival is well worth the cash and with over night camping and tons of vendors, a water play park for cooling down worth the kids and a kickin after party you will not want to miss it.
