Saturday in the Park – Moon and Zoe Find Something Interesting [Pictures]

I love Owensboro's Parks. We have so many. I visit Legion Park occasionally but because Moreland Park is so nearby, my dog Zoe and I go there frequently. So, Saturday in the Park, while having our walk we just stumbled upon something interesting. Zoe will tell you about it.

Zoe: Thanks, Master (Gawd, I hate it when he makes me call him that!).  Well, I like to wake him up each Saturday and Sunday morning when the sun rises, and of course, this time of year it is really early. Hee hee. I really like it when he brings me here. But the sign is not what we found.

A lot of my fellow doggies come here and leave some wonderful scents. I keep my nose to the ground almost all the time. Till the jerk behind me jerks my collar. Here is where Mas... uh, that guy likes to stop and watch them play tennis.  Today we were here too early. But, the tennis courts were not what we found.

This is one of my favorite sniffing locations, the Moreland Memorial benches. They are dedicated to Wilbur S. Moreland his wife Marie. I wonder if the "S" stands for sniff?  The sniffing benches were not what we found.

Supposedly the humans use this, but to me it is a giant sandbox.  Funny though, there aren't any cats around. And, this is not what we found either.

Sometimes we arrive later in the day and little kids are at play here. Saturday we had it to ourselves -- they way old opposable thumbs likes it. Nope, this isn't what we found either.

Just up the walkway and across from the playground area is the picnic house. I am not sure what its official name is. I couldn't get the leash line stretched out any farther. He should know I am not running off. Although, if a squirrel ran in front of me ... nice as it is this is not what we found in the park Saturday.

Look at these lamp posts. I enjoyed reading books bout English bulldogs. These lights remind me of what they like to wee in London. Pardon me while I go sniff one out. And, no this isn't it either.

If you like baseball, like the ol' Master back there, there are two ball fields at Moreland. Both are kept in tip top shape. We are getting veddy, veddy close now ...

Is it this stage where concerts are held?  Where magic happens.  Where my friends go to get out of the rain?

92.5!  That's what we found!  Oh, I am so 'cited.  I found it. It smells good.
