American Idol was all country this year with a majority of America's votes putting Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina in the number one and number two spots. Now that the two song birds have  proved their vocal prowess, they're putting their talent where your television is with videos for their current singles.

According to CMT.com Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina have taken a short break from their Idols Live 2011 Tour to shoot videos for the singles that landed them on country stations across the nation, and sold thousands of mp3s online. Scotty's video for the song "I love You This Big" will debut on CMT and CMT Pure  August 9th at 10:30 AM Eastern time. Lauren Alaina's video for "Like My Mother Does" will make it's first ever appearance on CMT Monday August 8th at 10:30 AM Eastern time. Both videos also feature a 15 minute special with "making of" clips and interviews with the artists. www.cmt.com

McCreery's "Love You This Big" sold 175,000 units it's first week and brought major hype for his album recorded before the beginning of the Idol's Live 2011 tour. Lauren Alaina procured a contract with Mercury Nashville after her single sold 200,000 copies within the first two months of release.
