Scotty McCreery is as American as it gets. The former 'American Idol' champion will have an especially patriotic Fourth of July celebration this year, as he'll have the opportunity to perform along with Barry Manilow and other special guests on the National Mall for the annual a Capitol Fourth concert, which draws hundred of thousands of visitors each year.

Other performers at the July 4, 2013 celebration will include the newest 'American Idol,' Candice Glover, Darren Criss from 'Glee,' Megan Hilty from 'Smash' and the cast of Broadway's 'Motown the Musical.' Tom Bergeron from 'Dancing With the Stars,' which country star Kellie Pickler recently won, will host the show.

Composer John Williams will conduct music from the Oscar-winning film 'Lincoln' along with the National Symphony Orchestra. The Independence Day event sounds like it will be a star spangled, patriotic evening and all of the performers will undoubtedly be looking out into a sea of red, white, and blue outfits.

'A Capitol Fourth,' the television airing featuring McCreery, will be broadcast on PBS stations from 8PM to 9:30PM ET on July 4.
